“To play the game is great, to win the game is greater, and to love the game is the greatest.”
We want the girls to love this game as much as we do. While teaching the girls the basic skills of lacrosse, as well the more advanced strategies of the game, we hope to also teach them to be leaders, to respect the game, themselves and each other, and to work hard to achieve personal and team goals both on and off the field. We hope to use the sport of lacrosse to teach life lessons about teamwork, shared sacrifice, determination, hard work, the art of winning, and striving to be the best version of ourselves.
Coach Holly grew up in a small town on the East Coast, and started playing in high school. She played on year in goal, and after getting shelled with shots every game, saving about 65% of them and still losing by 20 goals, she decided she wanted "a little stick" and go score some goals. Her team still only won one game in 4 years, but at least they made the losses a little more respectable. She went on to play as a walk-on at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. She quickly learned that she was not "top dog" on her team anymore, and put in a lot of hard work outside of practice to become a starter. At the end of her sophomore year, she was named ECAC tournament MVP, and was a 1st Team All-American the two years following. She led her team to an NCAA Final Four appearance in 1998, and was the leading scorer in the nation in 1997 and 1998. From there, she was the assistant coach at U Albany for a year, then was accepted into the PA program at Northeastern in Boston. Upon graduation, she moved out west to Spokane where lacrosse was not largely known. She spent 8 years developing the team at Gonzaga Prep High School from 8 girls to a squad of over 40. In 2016, was asked to help start a new team on the South Hill, the Spokane Stealth, where she has coached for the last 7 years. Last season, her team won the first league playoff spot for an Eastern Conference team in WSLA history. She is also a youth, high school, and collegiate official, and holds seats on the Washington Women's Lacrosse Officials Association Board and Spokane Youth Lacrosse Board. She is the mom of 3, and is a full-time Physician Assistant for Rockwood Multicare Pediatrics.

Lacrosse has been a huge part of my life in a lot of ways. Many of the paths my
life has gone down have been because of this great sport either directly or
indirectly.
When I was about 10 yrs old I first saw lacrosse one summer while visiting my
father in Connecticut. Needless to say I fell in LOVE w/ the sport right from the
start.
In Highschool I started on the JV team and then eventually made the Varsity
team. I had a different Head coach almost every year I played in high school, so
there was not too much consistency, direction or player development from them.
But to me it didn’t matter because I was playing lacrosse. During the off season I
would drive to NY to play indoor lacrosse which gave me the opportunity to gain
more experience and play w/ better players. Lacrosse was my life. Once high
school was over, I figured my lacrosse days were done.
As life would have it, 2-3 yrs later I had the opportunity to get a scholarship and
College lacrosse. I played at Lees McRae College in Banner Elk NC. While
there I became the team captain and earned an All-Conference Player award in
the Deep South Conference of Division II lacrosse. During this time, I also was
invited to play on Team Budweiser and travel to England to play their national
team to help prep them for the World Lacrosse Tournament.
After college I again assumed my lacrosse days were over, but of course not.
About 10ish years later I was asked to coach the men’s South Hill Highschool
team. I had the honor and privilege to coach there for 9 yrs. In 2022 I switched
from men’s lacrosse to coaching the Spokane Stealth high school women’s team
assisting Holly anyway I could.
Because of the sport of lacrosse, I have had many great memories, events and
opportunities in my life. It has opened doors and put me in places that have
guided me to where I am today and I am very grateful to the sport for it.
